ANP informs that, in a meeting held on 18/8/2020, the National Council for Energy Policy (CNPE) decided to change the schedule of the concession rounds, however it did not mention the rounds for the pre-salt area, which has no estimated date for realization.
The National Council for Energy Policy - CNPE, through CNPE Resolution No.19/2018, published in the Union Official Gazette - DOU - on December 18, 2018, authorized the ANP to detail the studies of the prospects indicated to compose the Seventh and Eighth Bidding Rounds under the regime of production sharing, forecast for the 2020-2021 biennium.
For the 7th Production Sharing Bidding Round, scheduled for 2020, the technical and economic parameters of the Esmeralda and Ágata areas, located in the Santos Basin and Água Marinha, located in the Campos Basin, shall be evaluated.
For the 8th Production Sharing Bidding Round, scheduled for 2021, the technical and economic parameters of the Tupinambá, Jade and Ametista areas, located in the Santos Basin, and Turmalina area, located in the Campos Basin, shall be evaluated.
CNPE Resolution no. 17, of June 8, 2017, provides that the blocks indicated to be offered in the bidding rounds promoted by the ANP will be previously analyzed for environmental feasibility by the competent environmental agencies.
The objective of this joint work is to eventually exclude areas due to environmental restrictions due to overlap with areas where oil and natural gas exploration and production (E&P) activities are not possible or recommended.
