In August 8, 2018, the CNPE Resolution nº11/2018 was released, changing the minimum percentage of profit oil for the Union into the Saturno and Titã areas.
In accordance to the art.4th of the Law nº 12.351, dated of 12/22/2010, Petrobras has expressed its right of preference of being operator in each offered area and maintained its mandatory participation as operator in 30% (thirty percent) in the Southwestern of Tartaruga Verde area, as seem in the Petrobras statement to the Ministry of Mines and Energy (Portuguese only).
In accordance with Law 12.351, dated 10/22/2010, and with Decree 9,041, dated 2/5/207, the National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) published on 6/12/2018, in the Official Gazette, the Resolution CNPE 06/2018, which establishes the participation of Petróleo Brasileiro SA - Petrobras in the 5th Production Sharing Bidding Round.
Therefore, the tender protocol of the 5th Production Sharing Bidding Round shall indicate that the mandatory participation of the company above, as operator, will be thirty percent (30% ) in the area of Sudoeste de Tartaruga Verde, according to Petrobras statement to the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
The National Energy Policy Council (CNPE), through Resolution No. 4/2018, published in the Official Gazette (DOU) in May 11, 2018, authorized the ANP to hold the 5th Production Sharing Bidding Round. The resolution also approves the technical and economic parameters of the offered areas.
The areas named Saturn, Titan, Pau-Brazil and Sudoeste de Tartaruga Verde will be offered.
In accordance with art. 4, paragraph 1, of Law 12,351, of December 22, 2010, Petrobras must express its right of preference in each of the offered areas.
